Built from the neighbourhood up
Saujana was founded in Kuala Lumpur by a small group of consultants who had spent years inside large advisory firms and felt something was missing. The clients they worked with most often — the roadside café owner, the tailoring shop, the family hardware store — rarely showed up in those firms' boardrooms. And yet these were the people doing the real daily work of commerce in Malaysia.
The name Saujana comes from the Malay word for "as far as the eye can see." It reflects a simple intention: to help owners see their business a little more clearly, without the fog of complexity that formal consulting often brings.
We opened our doors on Jalan Tun Razak in 2019 and have since worked quietly with dozens of small businesses across the Klang Valley and beyond. We take on a limited number of clients at any one time — deliberately — so that each engagement gets the full weight of our attention.

We believe that good advice does not need to come with a thick report or a jargon-heavy presentation. It needs to come with careful listening, a willingness to understand the whole picture, and the honesty to say what is true rather than what sounds impressive.
Our work is shaped by the values of the warung — the small neighbourhood shop where everyone is known by name, where advice is shared freely, and where the relationship matters more than the transaction.

Sharmila spent a decade managing operations for mid-sized retailers before shifting her focus to smaller businesses. She specialises in making day-to-day routines more manageable and less draining.

Client confidentiality
Everything shared in our sessions stays between us. We never discuss one client's affairs with another, and we do not share information with any third party without explicit permission.
Independent advice
We have no referral arrangements or commissions with any supplier, software provider or financial institution. Our advice is shaped only by what we think is right for your business.
Written records
Every engagement includes written notes of what we discussed and what was agreed. You have a record you can refer back to, not just memories of a conversation.
Scope clarity
